A designer that’s not gonna rip you off and ghost you like a shitty tinder date once the work’s done. Someone who’ll meet you where you’re at – whether you’re just starting out with a limited budget, or you want to grow your already thriving business. You’re looking for a designer who’ll take your jumbled ideas and turn it into a beautiful, cohesive and functional website.

Well, that’s me, Cass Aggett

While it hasn’t always been beautiful websites and Squarespace templates around here, you could say I’ve had an interest in techy-computer-stuff since, well, forever. I first started coding at age 14 for fun (yes, for fun, even in the days of dial up and cripplingly sluggish connection).

Fast forward to 2020, I started my business (previously Cass Aggett) as a creative virtual assistant after realising my brain is pretty much wired to help go-getting women. Then, after a few VA clients requested help with their Squarespace website design and management, I thought to myself, this platform is shit-hot.

Squarespace makes it easy for business owners – no matter what stage they’re at – to create a beautiful and functional website (without worrying about the constant updates or security issues that can come with more complex platforms).

Being a VA also gave me a rare perspective. I saw so many of my clients work with web designers and developers that would treat them like a tick-and-flick exercise. So, I set out to be the exact opposite of that.

And that’s how I got to where I am today – your business side-kick, Squarespace website designer and Squarespace Circle Member (AKA a place where all the creative Squarespace people hang out).

Squarespace websites aside…

  • ☀️ I call Brisbane, Australia home these days, but I grew up on the Sunshine Coast surrounded by sun, sand, water and tans (although I can confirm, the tans rarely included my own).

  • 🐾 My wife and I collect dogs (we were at three, but said goodbye to our boy in Oct 2023, so now have the two girls). Our home is full of a whole lotta love and dog fur.

  • 🛼 I love having eight wheels under my feet, whether at the rink, around the street or hitting the skate park. I learned to roller skate as a kid on my mum’s soccer boot skates and took a break during my teen years (turns out it was kinda uncool?!). Buuut I found my way back to it in 2010 when I joined a roller derby team and fell in love (both with skating again and my wife). Today, my main jam is street skating and I’ve got my own mini ramp in our backyard.

  • 🍸 I’ve got two favourite drinks (one for AM, one for PM). An almond latte and gin and tonic, preferably with cucumber and muddled lime (tastes best when limes aren’t $4 each).

  • ✨ I’m a little bit woo – I dabble in all things tarot, human design, astrology, manifestation, crystals, essential oils, and really just living a life that feels good for me. This is what led me to love working with alternative industries and women that give the flick to the status quo.

But better than all that website building cred, here’s what you should know before you work with me

  • I’m a good human that works with other good humans. Mostly, that looks like determined women who wanna bring something good to the world.

  • A pretty website needs to work, too. I design for purpose and impact, not just for the sake of it.

  • I won’t run and hide once the work’s done. I’m in it for the long haul and here when you need me most (even if it is a bit stage-five-clinger-ish).

  • You don't need to hit a certain milestone to work with me. Whether you’re starting out or already thriving, I’ve got solutions for every stage of business.

  • In general and in life. I believe we should all live life on our own terms (both as humans and as business humans).

To sum it all up, I’m really about helping women-led businesses get a beautiful and functional website. And through their success, they can help more women-led businesses bring [insert whatever they’re good at] into the world. And so the circle continues.
